Hosted by Enable as part of their 70th birthday celebrations, Quorum Cyber proudly sponsors the first ever Europe in Action 2024 conference

Scottish charity Enable’s Europe in Action conference aims to drive equity, diversity, and inclusion across Europe, welcoming representatives from 39 countries to discuss and plan the advancement of rights and inclusion for people with intellectual disabilities.

Quorum Cyber is proud to sponsor the Glasgow-based event, hosted by one of its esteemed customers. The conference, running from 7th-9th May 2024, features an array of talks and workshops focused on transforming services, deinstitutionalisation in Scotland, and promoting employment opportunities and self-advocacy.

The sessions are led by both Scottish and international experts. Key stakeholders from across Europe include representatives of the Scottish and UK Governments, influential members of Scottish civil society, public sector agencies, businesses, academia, and leaders from the third sector. See just a handful of the conference’s speakers, named below:

  • Jyrki Pinomaa – President of Inclusion Europe
  • Theresa Shearer – CEO of Enable and Vice President of Inclusion Europe
  • Cllr Jacqueline McLaren – the Lord Provost of Glasgow
  • Maree Todd MSP – the Minister for Social Care, Mental Wellbeing and Sport for the Scottish Government
  • Heather Gilchrist – Empowerment Champion at Enable.

This year’s theme for Europe in Action is Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion. The three-day conference provides a platform for attendees to exchange ideas on promoting successful inclusion, plan next steps in the fight for full rights and inclusion of people with intellectual disabilities and their families, and discuss issues that are important to them.

The event also boasts an evening reception, where self-advocates, key influencers and sponsors alike can all come together to access a platform for insightful dialogue and exchange pioneering approaches towards improving inclusion for disabled individuals across Europe.

“Quorum Cyber is proud to sponsor such an event and looks forward to continuing to support Enable in its mission to advance inclusion across the globe,” said Rebecca Court, Quorum Cyber’s Marketing Director.
