As one of the fastest growing cyber security companies in the UK, Quorum Cyber has been named as a National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) Assured Service Provider for the NCSC Cyber Incident Response (CIR) Level 2 (L2) scheme.

A brand new certification launched in 2023, the scheme, which is operated by CREST as an official Delivery Partner for the NCSC, has approved its first wave of CIR L2 providers for the UK. The CIR L2 standard has been created and designed so that private sector businesses, public sector organisations, including local authorities, and charities who are at risk of common cyber-attacks can find qualified and accredited cyber security incident response (CSIR) specialists they can trust to help them recover safely and securely from any type of cyber incident.

While it’s important to conduct the necessary work to minimise the chance of a cyber incident occurring in the first place, in the present digital climate no organisation can guarantee it won’t be breached and fall victim to cybercriminal activities.

“This excellent news affirms that our Incident Response team has the highest levels of expertise and experience that our customers around the world depend on in the event of a cyber-attack of any kind,” says Quorum Cyber CEO Federico Charosky. “Our team has hundreds of hours of experience handling hundreds of cyber security incidents for organisations of any size and complexity, helping them to quickly get back up and running. When time matters most, we are there.”

“The NCSC’s CIR scheme is designed to help cyber-attack victims find reliable providers of incident response services. Aimed initially at those organisations targeted by the most sophisticated threat actors, the scheme’s level 2 expansion now includes organisations of all sizes. Said Nick Benson, CEO of CREST, “As the first NCSC CIR scheme delivery partner, CREST is delighted to congratulate Quorum Cyber for becoming one of the first level 2 NCSC CIR Assured Service Providers. This reflects the company’s ability to help private sector organisations, charities, local governments, and smaller public sector organisations recover from cyber-attack and gives buyers the confidence that Quorum Cyber has the necessary capabilities to help them.”

CREST is the international not-for-profit accreditation and certification body that represents and supports the technical information security market. CREST provides internationally recognised accreditations for organisations and professional level certifications for individuals providing vulnerability assessment, penetration testing, cyber incident response, threat intelligence services, and Security Operations Centre (SOC) services.
