At the 17th AKJ E-crime & Cybersecurity Mid-Year Summit in London, Quorum Cyber proudly took the stage showcasing our threat-led approach to cyber resilience.

With over 400 senior cyber security professionals in attendance, the event focused on The Great Cybersecurity Reset, a call to rethink how we defend against increasingly sophisticated adversaries.

A highlight of the day was the panel session ‘Ransomware 360°: From First Click to Final Recovery’ featuring our CEO, Federico Charosky, alongside Rob Elsey (Co-op), Steve Davies (DLA Piper), and Joe Tidy (BBC), moderated by Simon Brady. The panel explored the full lifecycle of ransomware attacks, from initial compromise to recovery, and the strategic decisions organisations must make under pressure.

Federico shared a powerful insight:

AKJ e-crime 2025“Not all hackers fit the stereotype of a young male wearing a hoodie sitting in his bedroom. A competent, patient, and financially motivated threat actor could be in your environment for months,  and have better knowledge of your architecture than your internal teams.”

The discussion tackled real-world choke points, ethical dilemmas around ransom payments, and the smartest social engineering tactics seen to date. Delegates were also asked: with a limited budget, would they prioritise prevention, detection, recovery, or training?

Threat protection is where Quorum Cyber shines. Our dedicated international threat team works around the clock to stay ahead of attackers, profiling threat actors, hunting for emerging tactics, and delivering actionable intelligence to our customers. From Incident Response Retainers to Brand & Credential Monitoring, we provide end-to-end Incident Response services that help organisations prevent, detect, and recover from cyber-attacks.

We don’t keep our knowledge to ourselves. Through our Threat Intelligence Community Hub, we empower security teams with free access to threat actor profiles, malware reports, and intelligence bulletins. We believe in sharing what we learn, because stronger communities mean stronger defences.
