From 19th to 22nd November 2024, a cohort from Quorum Cyber attended Microsoft Ignite 2024 in Chicago.

What is Microsoft Ignite?

Microsoft Ignite is Microsoft’s showcase customer and partner event that’s used as a launch platform to announce some of the latest and greatest innovations coming from Microsoft now, and in the coming months. Over the four-day event held at the McCormick Place Convention Center, attendees had the opportunity to watch the flagship keynote delivered by Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, attend breakout sessions on cutting-edge topics like artificial intelligence (AI), quantum computing and security, participate in interactive labs and get certified in the latest solution areas covered by Microsoft exams. Of course, the conference floor was packed with Microsoft partners’ booths, offering incredible opportunities to connect, network, and talk all things Microsoft.

Presentations, demos, and breakouts galore

As a top-rated managed security service provider (MSSP) and member of the Microsoft Intelligent Security Association (MISA), Quorum Cyber was once again asked by the MISA team to demonstrate their services to conference attendees under the MISA banner in the prime spot of the Microsoft Security village. Andrew Hodges – Vice President of Product and Technology – and Ricky Simpson – Solutions Director  – talked to attendees for over two hours, showing a rolling demonstration of where Quorum Cyber has built custom solutions powered by Microsoft Security Copilot to greatly improve the speed and accuracy of Microsoft Purview sourced security incident analysis and remediation. This practical use Security Copilot generated a lot of interest and conversation. Andrew and Ricky were delighted to talk attendees through the process from capturing business needs, translating those ideas into workflow improvements, and finally, executing them within Security Copilot to bring it all to life.

We also hosted a two-hour session at the MISA Demo Station, where we showcased our expertise and engaged with partners, the Microsoft Security team, and prospective customers. The event was a great success, strengthening our relationships and highlighting our commitment to the Microsoft ecosystem.

Ignite the night after-party

Aside from the conference centre, Quorum Cyber also showed as a leading Microsoft Security partner at one of the after-parties. Microsoft Security’s Secure the Night party, held on the Wednesday evening, was an exclusive, invite-only event, attended by top customers and partners of Microsoft Security. Vasu Jakkal, CVP of Microsoft Security, mingled with attendees throughout a night of music, world-famous Chicago deep-dish pizza, karaoke, and the highlight – a fully stocked bar with Quorum Cyber branding all over it. Attendees were raving about the signature cocktail: The Quorum Cyber Lockdown. The team had some excellent conversations with party goers ranging from our managed services, our incident response capabilities, and our plans for how to help keep customers safer using Microsoft Security technology in the future.

It was inspiring to see so many people focused on driving positive security outcomes using Microsoft technology. Learn more about Quorum Cyber’s partnership with Microsoft here.
