Scottish Government Cyber Resilience Action Plans

for the Private and Third Sector

November 2018

The Scottish Government launched the publication of the Private Sector and Third Sector Action Plans on Cyber Resilience at the end of June this year. These action plans have been developed in close collaboration with the National Cyber Resilience Leaders’ Board (NCRLB), the UK National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) and key partners from across Private and Third Sectors. Quorum Cyber was one of the private sectors partners involved in this consultation. The action plans set out how Private and Third Sector organisations in Scotland will work in partnership with government to help tackle the cyber threat and continues the Scottish Government’s ongoing commitment to develop a suite of action plans in support of Safe, Secure and Prosperous: A Cyber Resilience Strategy for Scotland.

In furtherance of these plans, Scottish Government has made £500,000 available under the National Cyber Security Programme for a voucher scheme to support small and medium-sized private and third sector organisations in Scotland to achieve the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) endorsed Cyber Essentials or Cyber Essentials Plus certificate.

From Wednesday 7th November 2018 both sectors can apply for vouchers worth up to £1000 to achieve Cyber Essentials certification.

Quorum Cyber are approved by CREST and one of the few companies in Scotland qualified to take customers from assessment through to Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials PLUS certification. You can find out more about our Cyber Essentials service here.
