Prepare now for the Scottish Public Sector Action Plan on Cyber Resilience 2017–18 with Quorum Cyber
On November 8th 2017, the Scottish Government released the Public Sector Action Plan on Cyber Resilience. The plan was conceived by the Scottish Government in collaboration with the SBRC trusted partners in the private sector.
Quorum Cyber is one of the trusted partners who participated in the consultations and is one of the few that can support the public sector on the journey to achieving the targets set by the government.
The aim of the plan is to make the Scottish Public Sector a leader in cyber defence and ultimately ensuring that public services and data are better equipped to withstand a potential cyber attack.
The first key actions and deadlines for ALL public sector organisations are:
Essential pre-assessment (gap analysis) must be completed by the end of March 2018, (with funding support available from The Scottish Government up to £1,000 per organisation).
Every Scottish Public Sector organisation must achieve either Cyber Essentials or Cyber Essentials Plus accreditation by the end of October 2018.
Quorum Cyber’s Pre-Assessment Service costs only £1,000 + VAT, which, (in most cases) does not require a formal procurement exercise and can be claimed back from the Scottish Government. It’s easy to arrange and undertake, providing the critical Pre-Assessment report needed to plan a route to full certification. Additional Quorum Cyber services can be procured via LOT3 of the Dynamic Purchasing System framework.
